Shri Adi Shankaracharya (8th cent. CE in Kaladi, Kerala) was a Spiritual Guru, philosopher and theologian. His works had a strong impact on the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta.He founded four ‘Math’ which are believed to have helped in the historical development, revival and propagation of Advaita Vedanta.

Hindu Symbolism
Design inspired by drawing symbolism from Mandala, the circle of life The Design tries to be a contemplation journey for pilgrims, make them look inwards into ‘Atman’. Design helps pilgrims to immerse into an inward journey.
Spiral of Life
The Samadhi is submerged and does not over power main temple, while allowing backdrop of Majestic Himalayan Mountain. The design is also inspired by ‘spiral of life’ and allows for transformative experience to pilgrims.

It is believed that Shri Adi Guru Shankaracharya was seen last at Kedarnath Temple, when he was 32. He took a Samadhi behind the Temple.
